About

Andrea Ludtke is a digital journalist experienced in reporting and engaging audiences on the multiple platforms of the 21st century. A South Florida native, she has a passion for business news and is currently pursuing a career in business and financial journalism as a production assistant at Bloomberg Television in New York City.

Before working for Bloomberg Television, Andrea interned on the company’s print side as a reporter covering insurance companies. She graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in December, and in the summer of 2011 interned with CNBC.com in the editorial department, reporting, writing, editing, and attempting to manage content on the site while taming the beast known as Workbench. Andrea served as director of content for ReeseNews for a year, where she conceptualized and directed original programming efforts and led teams of reporters in story development and platform optimization. She also anchored for UNC’s award-winning student-run newscast Carolina Week for a year, where she handled breaking news, conducted live interviews, and turned packages on tight deadlines.

She has interned in a range of departments at stations across South Florida in past summers, namely WFOR, WTVJ, WPLG, and WPBT. She also got a taste of the marketing world earlier in her undergraduate career when she coordinated with agencies and pitched to clients at top B2B firm Koroberi in Chapel Hill, NC, and tickled students’ funny bones as an at-large columnist at UNC’s award-winning daily newspaper The Daily Tar Heel.

In her free time she loves to exercise, catch up on business news, and attempt to make a dent in whichever book about the markets she’s currently reading.
